For Art, we had to do a pet portrait, i chose to do a prisma color drawing after my Siamese cat piggly. In this piece, After doing a couple practice drawings, Allison told me to look at a color pencil drawing magazine with a article describing how to animal portraits. After reading this magazine, i learned to start with the eyes then go from there. The eyes looked very good because i really took my time really observe and find all the details in his eye. Before i started on his fur, i learned to get my pencils very sharp to show the sharp strains of fur on his body and face. I put on a bunch of layers and i never felt totally satisfied, but every time i went darker, it look better so i kept layering and layering. In the end i chose to change up part of the background because it didn't look as good as I though it could be so i changed to blue and purple. The one problem i had was getting the dark underneath the whiskers on the cat because i didn't wanna draw over the whiskers, i also didn't like how far away the eyes were but i think it still came out OK. Overall i think he came out fairly nice, and i can see my art pieces getting better every time. I am very excited to go home and practice more with my prisma's.
