In Art 4, we practiced making apples using oil paints. The first apple on the left is with a brush, and the second apple on the right is with a painting knife. I liked the outcome of the second apple more because it is thick and it looks more realistic. During the second apple, i started to mess around and see how many colors i could put into the apple. Too bad the apple turned brown after adding to many colors. The apple on the left is very boring and i really didn't put much effort into it.
If i did this again, i would really focus and paint very slowly. This mini class exercise was fun because it brought us into our oil painting project. This was my second time using oils and it turned out a lot better than last time.
